Supporting the next generation of designers has been at the heart of DesignBlok since its very beginning. Every year, we discover, showcase and support emerging talents across disciplines – from product, fashion and jewellery design to graphic design, illustration, collectible design and other creative fields.
Through our flagship programmes – Diploma Selection, Talent Cards and School Today – we provide students and emerging designers with a platform to present their work, receive professional feedback, build valuable connections and engage with curators, manufacturers, journalists and collectors from the Czech Republic and abroad.
For many designers who are now internationally recognised, DesignBlok was an important stepping stone in their professional journey, opening doors to collaborations and connections across the global design community.

DESIGNBLOK DIPLOMA SELECTION
For the past twelve years, we have organised an international competition showcasing the best graduation projects by product and fashion design students from across Europe. Each year, thirty finalists are selected to present their work to an international jury and the festival audience. The competition provides financial support for the production of a new collection, expert feedback and valuable opportunities to build professional connections and develop their own brands.

A curated selection of students and emerging designers whose work stands out for its original thinking, strong concepts and distinctive creative voice. Each year, the DesignBlok Curatorial Board selects designers with the potential to shape the future of contemporary design, providing them with a platform for presentation, networking and the support of the festival.
